Self Care Tips to Maintain Emotional Resilience During Covid 19 or anytime when life is difficult. 1. Cultivate Flexibility - Make plans and do the things that are within your own control. 2. Stay Informed, but try to set healthy limits. Don't watch news 24/7. Go offline all weekend or from 7pm on. Set your limits to maintain your emotional wellness. 3. Connect with others. Maintain your healthy relationships with family and friends. Use zoom, google duo, facetime or just call someone and say HELLOOOOOOOOO! Find a pandemic buddy(s) www.iatsecares.org/buddy-up/ or volunteer to be one. 4. Don't be afraid to ask for HELP!!! There are organizations listed here and on our facebook page, but this is not limited to ask your Doctor, clergy or counselor if distress impacts activities of your daily life for several days or weeks. 5. Take care of yourself. Take care of both your mind and body. Eat healthy, get your sleep, exercise, give yourself a break and take a deep breath, meditate, avoid excessive alcohol or drug use. 6 Be kind to yourself and others. Remember, everyone reacts to stress and crisis differently. Try to refrain from criticizing yourself and others. Try hard...very hard.... BTS is very pleased to announce the launch of the Entertainment Industry Therapist Finder, in partnership with HelpPRO. The Finder only includes listings for mental health professionals who have previously worked with clients in the entertainment industry or who have personal professional experience in the industry themselves. Mental Health and Suicide Prevention Initiative as well. Actors Fund – all sorts of support – you don't have to be an actor - financial counseling, mental health assistance, addiction and recovery, health care programs, amongst others. This is one of the premier benefit services in the entertainment industry. http://www.actorsfund.org Union Plus – an assortment of programs. This is run by the AFL/CIO. We probably know it best as the provider of the Union Plus credit card and discounts on services, but they also provide all sorts of programs and assistance for union members.
